The story
Adapted from Owen Rutter's 1932 travel book If Crab No Walk, which recalls the Long Bar at the Queen's Park Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Essentially a Trinidadian Daiquiri built up with Angostura bitters; originally made with Caroni gold rum.
Variations
The Queen's Park Hotel is also remembered for its Queen's Park Swizzle.
Host tips
Pre-chill the coupe well. Express the lime oils directly over the drink right before serving for aroma.
