You’ll need: Mixing glass, Bar spoon, Strainer
Method — Stirred
- Add all liquid ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice
- Stir until well-chilled (about 30 seconds)
- Strain into a lowball glass with a large clear ice cube
- Garnish with an orange slice
The story
Created in the 1920s at Harry's New York Bar in Paris. Named after a magazine called The Boulevardier.
Variations
Can be made with rye whiskey for a spicier profile. Using high-proof bourbon intensifies the flavors.
